University Tigers (Arkadelphis, Arkansas) had 45 student-athletes, led by 13 from volleyball, 11 from football and 10 from men’s soccer, to make the Fall 2015 Great American Conference Academic All-Conference team. One was sophomore soccer player, Nelson Pacheco from Kennedale. {{more:[read more]}}
For student-athletes to be recognized on the Academic All-Conference team, they must have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing (true freshmen and redshirt freshmen are not eligible) and must have completed at least one full academic year at the nominating institution. In addition, their grade-point average must be a minimum of 3.30 based on the 4.0 system. The GPA shall be cumulative for the athlete’s entire collegiate career.
Nelson Pacheco (So.) is a Business Administration/Sports Management and a Kennedale High School graduate in 2014. He had a grade point average of 3.35.Pacheco is a goalkeeper for OBU Tigers who were GAC Conference Champions this year. He was named All-Conference Goalkeeper of the Year, as well as, the GAC ChampionshipTournament MVP Goalkeeper.About OBU:As a leading liberal arts
