Incident Reports
 
10/09 ? Possession of Marijuana ? 100 block of N. New Hope Road: At 12:37 a.m. an officer observed a 2004 GMC Yukon stopped at a red light. The vehicle did not move for several minutes and the officer decided to make a stop to investigate the welfare of the occupants. The male driver, a female passenger, and a male passenger were all asleep in the vehicle. Once awakened, none of the occupants appeared to be intoxicated. During the interview the officer obtained consent to search from the driver. Marijuana was found between the driver seat and the console. The driver was arrested and transported to jail for booking.
 
10/11 ? Burglary ? 500 block of N. Little School Road: At 4:37 p.m. a victim reported that a home she has been managing for a family member?s estate was entered by person(s) unknown. The suspect(s) ransacked the home and damaged doors, mirrors, and furniture. The entry occurred during the previous week.
 
10/11 ? Assault Bodily Injury (Family Member) ? At 5:15 p.m. a victim reported that on the previous Saturday she was assaulted by her husband. The assault occurred during a verbal altercation. The victim reported that she was concerned about future violence and decided to make a report.
 
10/11 ? Assault Bodily Injury ? 1200 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 7:23 p.m. officers responded to an assault at QT. A female manager had been assaulted by a female customer who was creating a disturbance. The suspect was inside of the women?s restroom and had stripped from the waist down. She was creating a disturbance when the manager told her to leave the location. While being walked out the suspect suddenly assaulted the manager. A female customer stepped in and assisted in getting the suspect out of the building. Officers arrested the suspect, who was still agitated and hostile, and transported her to jail for booking.
 
10/12 ? Theft ? 1000 block of N. Little School Road: At 8:00 a.m. a construction manager reported that person(s) unknown removed 300 feet of copper wire from the site. The wire was stolen during the overnight hours.
 
10/12 ? Burglary ? 300 block of Tealcove Drive: At 9:29 a.m. two victims reported that their apartment was broken into on the day before. Person(s) unknown forced the front door open and removed cash and a video camera. The offense occurred between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
 
10/12 ? Harassment ? Swiney Hiett Road: At 3:57 a victim reported that an unknown male was leaving him harassing phone messages. The victim felt that the messages are a prank but wanted a report in the event there were problems later.
 
10/13 ? Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (Felon) ? 300 block of E. Kennedale Parkway: At 11:54 p.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for speeding. Upon approaching the vehicle the officer could smell marijuana inside of the vehicle. The driver, an adult male, was found to have a warrant for his arrest. While being arrested and handcuffed the driver broke away and fled into high grass across the street. The suspect was located lying in tall weeds a few minutes later. He was placed in custody and transported to jail for booking. Also found in the vehicle were several small bags of marijuana, possibly packaged for delivery, and a 9mm handgun. The suspect is a convicted felon and cannot legally possess a firearm. The suspect was booked on all charges.
 
10/14 ? Emotionally Disturbed Person ? Cloverlane Drive: At 4:34 p.m. officers responded to a report of an adult male threatening to harm himself. A 36 year old male was located and did state that he wanted to harm himself. He was transported to JPS Hospital for emergency detention and evaluation.
 
10/15 ? Theft $30,000 to $150,000 ? 6800 block of Oak Crest Drive: At 11:50 a.m. a victim reported that a former employee had stolen money from her company. The employee worked for three months and was able to obtain company checks that he made out to himself. The suspect cashed checks valued at over $30,000 during the time frame.
