It’s almost here – Kennedale’s kick-off of the holidays

Join the City of Kennedale in TownCenter on Tuesday, December 5, from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m., as the city kicks off the holiday season by lighting of the city’s live Christmas tree. {{more: continue …}}
 
It is big, it is fun and it is free …
 
Hundreds of students will be singing and entertaining representing Kennedale schools including Delaney Elementary, Patterson Elementary, Arthur Intermediate, KJHS, KHS and Fellowship Academy.
 
Sing along to carols and enjoy holiday treats courtesy of generous local businesses, churches, organizations, and clubs.
 
 
Santa arrives at 6:00 p.m. … Don’t forget to bring your camera.
 
This fun, festive, family-oriented event and all of its activities are completely free, but the city does encourage anyone who can, to donate to the Kennedale Professional Firefighter

Association.

 
Santa Needs Elves! …
 
If your organization would like to hand out treats for Santa, the city will provide one table and two chairs for you to set up a booth. You?re encouraged to decorate your booth, set up a game or craft, or dress up. The more festive, the better! Please let the city know if you?ll need electricity or have any special requests.
 
Santa-approved treats include: cookies, hot chocolate, apple cider, coffee, candy canes and other candies, Rice Krispies treats, cupcakes, popcorn, chocolate-covered pretzels, muddy buddies/puppy chow/reindeer food, Chex mix, fudge, brownies ? or whatever your favorite treat might be! Homemade or store-bought are both fine. Thank you for helping to make this popular event possible year after year.
 
Booths need to be ready to receive guests by 5:15 p.m. This is a well-attended event. Please plan to give out 300-500 treats.
