Kennedale Lady Track secures 3rd at UIL 4A Region II Championships

The Lady Kats of Kennedale with 56 points won 3rd place at the UIL 4A Region II Track and Field Championships in Commerce, Texas on April 26-27. The Kats finished just behind Dallas Carter who had 60 points.{{more: continue …}}

The overall winner was Texarkana Liberty-Eylau, who ran away with the title with a total of 113 points.

On the boys’ side, the Wildcat track team finished back in the pack tied at 21 with Brownsboro, Aubrey, Anna and Dallas Hutchins. Texarkana Liberty-Eylau won the boys division in a tight race with Melissa, finishing just one point ahead with 78 total points.

At the track meet, Kennedale broke 2 school records and established 9 personal records. Those records are noted in red below.

The Kennedale Lady Kats qualified for the state championships in 3 events – the 4×100 relay, the 100m run and in the long jump. The state event qualifiers are highlighted in blue below.
