We meet a lot of people over the course of a day and during our weekly schedule. We share many events with others whether it is at our children?s [grandchildren] activities or business/community meetings. These contacts are more formal or related to the “business at hand”.
?
But when you sit down and share a common meal with no agenda, no presentations and the meal is the activity, this becomes a special kind of informal social event so unusal as to be listed on the endangered list.
?
It is not a family dinner although those are hard to find now. It is not a political event where you are seemingly forced to take someone’s side over another. It is not a religious event even though it is held at a church hall. It is just a supper to be enjoyed for the fellowship.

The Thursday Community Supper kicked off last week at Dover Hall (FUMC Kennedale), 208 Municipal Drive in Kennedale. It will continue this Thursday at 6:30 pm.
?
The meal itself is simple, the chance to talk and relax with others is special.
?
Bring a friend(s), your family, a neighbor who doesn’t get out much or just yourself.
