Sarays Flores, a KHS Senior going the distance

Sarays Flores and her family moved to Texas from Puerto Rico when she was a 5th grader. Years later, Sarays is a Kennedale High School Honor student and the top performer on the KHS Varsity Girls Cross Country team. {{more:? continue …}}
At the UIL Class 4A Region II Cross Country Meet earlier last month, Sarays earned 6th Place and punched her ticket to the UIL Class 4A State Cross Country Meet.?
Sarays holds the girl?s school record in the 3200 meters (12.02). Local colleges such as Texas Wesleyan and Dallas Baptist University have taken notice of her talents. There is a very good chance that Sarays could receive an offer to run at the collegiate level in the coming months.

The KHS Lady Kat Cross Country team finished 11th overall at the Regional meet. At the state 4A meet as the sole representative of KHS, Sarays finished 46th out of? top 152 runners from across the state with a time of 12:32.12.
