At the UIL Class 4A Region II Cross Country Meet earlier last month, Sarays earned 6th Place and punched her ticket to the UIL Class 4A State Cross Country Meet.?

Sarays holds the girl?s school record in the 3200 meters (12.02). Local colleges such as Texas Wesleyan and Dallas Baptist University have taken notice of her talents. There is a very good chance that Sarays could receive an offer to run at the collegiate level in the coming months.

The KHS Lady Kat Cross Country team finished 11th overall at the Regional meet. At the state 4A meet as the sole representative of KHS, Sarays finished 46th out of? top 152 runners from across the state with a time of 12:32.12.
