? City Council (4-1)grants Waste Management use of Dick Price Road, allowing them drive from Mansfield 287 to their new recycling plant. Mark Wright voted against the motion. Waste Management said that the company is trying to get permission from the railroad to build a four lane road east to the highway.

? Final plat approvals are to be considered by the City Council this week. Developer Gary Cooper has asked for approval of the first phase of the proposed Spring Branch Addition, a controversial duplex housing development and replatting of two lots in Cooper?s Pine Meadow Addition.

? Work and time commitments have caused the resignations of two members of the Zoning Board, Chairman Raymond Morris and R.E. Flowers.

? Baxter?s advertised a range feed sale with 20% Protein Cattle Cubes at $7.95 per 100 lbs.

? 3 people were arrested at the Green Acres Lounge (Mansfield Hwy) at 10:50 pm last week following a disturbance.

? Alvarado ?smothers? Wildcats 36-0. Senior Jeff Carroll was 3 for 8 in his first start at quarterback. Bubba Plunk caught two of those passes. Kelley Turner (quarterback) is out for the remainder of the season.

? Meanwhile the Lady Wildcats are leading their district with the last home volleyball game scheduled this week
