When it works, it something to see, and it worked to perfection last Friday night on the wet turf of Midlothian ISD Athletic Complex? … for the Heritage Jaquars.??

Kennedale’s bread and butter, the run, was strangled. The Wildcats managed a

solo touchdown in the 3rd but that was it for the young offense.

Kennedale had 11 possessions during the game. Five of those possessions ended in punts with 4 being 3 & out and then there were the three lost fumbles. It was that kind of night.??

The Kennedale defense with its back up against the wall fought valiantly. Kennedale’s young offense in their first 5 possessions started deep in their own territory and never crossed the fifty yard. This favored the Heritage offense in the change over. In their 10 drives, Heritage had only two possessions? that started less than the MH 35. Five of their possession started deep in Kennedale territory at the KN28, KN17, KN11, KN34 and the KN33.?

Barrett is not much on spending time on losses. This game film was destined for the trash can before the game was over. He was all about the next game. As he would say, ?This is what we do? which translates in this situation, “We work for wins not losses.”?

Friday night, the Wildcats at 1-1 get a new chance with a game at Alvarado. Game time 7:30 p.m.?
