The Kennedale 2019 Lady Kat Volleyball team battled all the way to the Texas UIL 4A state championship tournament in November, making the final four for the first time in the school?s history. {{more: continue …}}?
The Lady Kats finished the year at 37-8 (best school record) after slicing through district opponents for a 12-0 record (second time in two years). The Lady Kats season ended in the state semifinals after being over-looked all year. However, after making their maiden debut in the state tournament, this team will be on everyone?s watch list next year.

Of course, with success comes accolades. Kennedale players earned fifty-one (51) awards distributed between fourteen players. Twenty-two were academic awards at both district and state level. Twelve of the awards were received at the state level for athletic performance.?

- Kelly Carl – District 9-4A Coach of the Year, Star Telegram All-Area Head Coach of the Year. Assisted the last two years by Rachel Dixon (Kennedale graduate) and Cassie Bryant (Kennedale graduate). Carl is in her second year as head coach at Kennedale.?

- Lillian Rychlik (SR) ?
