Bill was born in Crowell on March 4, 1935, to Robert and Mary Solomon. Growing up in Sanger, he graduated from high school there and later served in the U.S. Army and the Army National Guard. He then became a government investigator for HUD.
 
After retiring from HUD, Bill work as security at Kennedale High School where he established a bond with the students so much so that they dedicated a yearbook to “Mr Bill”.
 
Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 25 years, Carole Jean Coleman Solomon who also had worked for Kennedale ISD; brother, Bob Solomon; and three very special and precious aunts.
 
Survivors: Sister-in-law, Jeannie Sammons; daughter, Stacy Diane Blair and Jeff Blair; son, Jeff Coleman and his fiancee, Bilynda; grandchildren, Justin Blair, Kiersten Blair, Cassidy Blair, Ashley Vega, Emily Coleman and Haley Coleman; and great-grandchildren, Harper Grace Blair, Hadley Kate Blair, Dean Vega, Sally Ann Vega and Rose Vega.
