Bui and Buendia earn district and region selections

KHS Junior Richard Bui was selected for to the All-District Choir.
 
KHS Senior Victoria Buendia was selected to the All-Region Choir. Victoria has also qualified for Pre-Area auditions on November 22.
 
Earning these recognitions is not easy
 
The Kennedale High School Choral program competes in a large region (7) that includes 6A schools down to 1A with choir membership estimated at 2845 students in 99 different schools spread across the region.
 
The region northern boundaries include Fort Worth south to Maypearl and Llano and west to San Angleo. It includes all the Fort Worth high schools plus Crowley, Weatherford, Burleson, Aledo, Stephenville and more.
 

Bui made the by first level of honors by making the All-District choirs with the choir size between 120-130 students. These students are selected across the region.

 
Buendia made the next level, All Region Choir, with approximately the same number of students selected (120-130). Again the students are selected from across the region.
 
The Area stretches from Fort Worth to the El Paso
 
The third level of recognition is the All Area Choir and finally the All-State Choir.
 
The Area Choir that Buendia will be auditioning for stretches south from Fort Worth to Cleburne and then west to the Texas border including Midland/Odessa, San Angelo, Fort Stockton and El Paso.
