Burkburnett and Kennedale Softball face off once again

Two years ago in the region finals, Burkburnett and Kennedale played a 12 inning game with the Lady Bulldogs pulling out a 3-0 victory. It was a game not easy to forget if you were on the losing side. (Read Story)

The Lady Bulldogs and the LadyKats were tied at zero through 11 innings when BurkBurnett got a 3 run home in the bottom of the 12 to take the win and advance to state. {{more}}

Burkburnett (16-7) and Kennedale (19-2) meet again at 4 p.m. Friday in Bowie.

In the 2013 game, Kylie Trahan for the Lady Bulls struck out 29 LadyKats. She is gone but Kennedale?s Allie Turner, who struck out 19 Lady Bulldogs in that regional final game, returns.
Last week, she struck out 11 in a 7-1 victory in Game 1 of a series sweep against Graham. Kennedale has a second pitcher this year in Alexa Neifert who threw a two-hit shutout in Game 2 against Graham.
Like the region final, this region quarterfinal game against BurkBurnett is just a one game playoff meaning win or go home.
