The game Friday night had been shaping up as a possible changing of the guard in district play with Springtown sporting 4-1 record and a high powered offense averaging 400 plus yard per game. While one game does not make a season, it sure can let in some sunshine. The offense responded with their best offensive game of the year by rolling up 406 yard in Kennedale fashion with 386 yards on the ground and did not turn over the ball once. They had 20 first downs and averaged 6.7 yds per play. Jaden Knowles (Jr) was the top rusher with 15-108-2TD followed by DJ Kirven (So) 15-76-TD, OB Evan Jowers (So) 9-72, Braelin Brown (Jr) 8-57-TD, David Roper (Jr) 7-47 and Jakari Stafford 3-24-1TD. It should be noted that Kirven had two big touchdown runs called back on penalties and that QB Jowers has been a surprising spark this season on offense with his ability to get the big gain.

Kennedale only threw the ball five times with Jowers going 3-5 for 22 yards. Malik Burgess (Sr) was 2-13 in receiving followed by Jaden Smith (So) with 1 catch for 9 yards.
