It has been a good year for the Bullfrogs. The Frogs were undefeated in district play and were 4-2 overall. The Cats were 3-3 overall and 2-0 in district play before the game. It was the second year of a rebuilding program under Head Coach and the pieces were falling into place for the Frogs.

They left the field dazed and confused.

Their team had been averaging 45 points and over 450 total yards per game. The least that the Frogs offense had scored was 22 points. In this game, playing in front of their hometown fans, the Frogs came up with a total of 90 yards on offense, 3 first downs, and zero points. In contrast, the Wildcats rolled up 571 yards, 28 first downs, and 48 points.

What happened was that the Bullfrogs hit a wall and there was no going over it, under it or around it. They were boxed-in by the Kennedale Wildcat defense.

In 10 possessions, Lake Worth was forced to punt seven-time, intercepted twice and fumbled a fair catch. Only once did Lake Worth go more than 4 and out, and that once and it ended in a 5 and out.
