After much consideration and prayer, I have decided to announce that I am running for City Council Place 5.?

My family, Leslie, Elijah and Eliana, moved back to Kennedale a little over two years ago. I work as an IT Analyst for a crop insurance company that has an office in Arlington but I get the privilege of working most days from home. Since finding our home in the Crestdale neighborhood, we have tried to foster a sense of community by having movie nights in the back yard for neighborhood families and started an annual Christmas lights competition.?
I feel my time as a City Planner/GIS Analyst brings additional knowledge of our zoning laws and the day to day operations of City government. I plan on using my knowledge to help guide City staff on developing new standards for our town which foster community while providing smart growth opportunities. Community is the focus and I believe it should be the focus of our growth. I have served as the Chair of the Planning and Zoning Commission for a little over a year and I truly enjoy serving our community.

Kennedale has the ingredients to become a city like no other in our metroplex and I believe that our focus should be forward, raising the standards with the community as the center. It would be my honor to serve the citizens of Kennedale and help guide us into our future by being ?Committed to Community, Dedicated to Progress.?
