It is the only forum scheduled at this time for all the candidates to appear together before voting starts in less than two weeks.

This is a unique election for Kennedale because there are actual contested positions on the ballot. In most local elections, school board or city, there are no challengers or if there is, there is usually one contested race. This one has three contested city council with a total of 7 candidates.
The forum tonight will allow the candidates to introduce themselves, give the reasons for running and answer questions.

It is a good time to be able to put a face to name and learn something about the issues.
Early voting starts on the April 24th and continues until Tuesday, May 2. Election Day is May 6th.
 
The Kennedale ISD did not have any contested places. The Kennedale City Council has three places up for election and each of those have at least two candidates running.
