the way it works ?
Homes throughout the city can get a free garage sale permit through city hall and their home will be listed as a participating home this weekend. Neighbors and neighborhoods can hold street long garage sales to increase the traffic. A free list of participating home can be picked up at City Hall or be seen online beginning Friday, June 3rd.
deadline in effect ?
Thursday, June 2 at 5 pm is the deadline to register for a free permit and to have your home listed. Simply call (817.985.2133) or drop by City Hall.
part of city clean-up effort ?
This is part of a city wide effort to clean-out and clear-out closets, garages and yards of unwanted items and trash. On Saturday, June 11th the City will hold an end of Spring Clean-up.
There will be a free drop-off allowed at the Progressive Landfill at 4144 Dick Price Road for brush and bulky items. This is for Kennedale residents only ? proof of residency is required (current utility bill and a valid ID). If you bring a trailer load, a safety vest will be required (available for $5).
NOTE: This is not for recyclables, hazard waste, Freon appliances, commercial waste or dump trucks.If you have hazard waste (waste oil, old paint, etc) those items can be dropped off without cost in Fort Worth at 7400 Bridge Street Thursday ?Friday between 11am and 7 pm and on Saturday 9am-3pm. You do need a voucher from the City of Kennedale Utility Billing Department. Hazard waste items can be dropped off any Thursday, Friday and Saturday with a voucher.
