Last Saturdayevening, Kennedale High School held graduation ceremonies at MacGorman Chapel
on the campus of the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary for the 224
member Class of 2017. {{more:READ MORE …}}
If winning
translates into success in the future this class has lots to look forward to after
high school.
These students have
always been part of a high school that has finished in the top five in the UIL
in the Lone Star Cup competition, a state-wide competition that includes
academic and athletic competitions.
These students have
never known a band program that was not one of the top programs in the state or,
a choir program that is fast establishing a top reputation.
These students have been part of a computer
science program has established itself as a powerhouse competing successfully with
some of the top in state.
These students had
never known a sport that didn?t make the playoffs save boy soccer which has made
the playoffs 3 of the last 4 years.
This year the high
school captured 8 district titles including in academic, football, volleyball,
basketball, baseball, soccer and track.
The students have
experienced 2 state championships and a several new school record breaking seasons
in several sports as well as a number of state top individual finishes.
