Kennedale Beautiful Commission (KKB), this event offers residents a chance to properly dispose of household chemicals, electronics, batteries, and other items that should not be sent to the landfill because of the danger of chemicals leaching into our groundwater. {{more}}

 
You must show proof of Kennedale residency (water bill or drivers licence), and no trailers or commercial waste are permitted. Please come early, as the event will end when the trucks are full.
 
DO BRING
  • paint and painting supplies
  • used cooking oil, batteries and light bulbs
  • automotive fluids (including antifreeze and oil)
  • household chemicals (including cleaners,
  • insecticides, and lawn and pool chemicals)
  • personal or home office documents (staples okay)
  • newspapers and magazines (cannot be shredded and must be bundled separately from office paper
  • computers*+, printers, keyboards, and wall chargers
  • kitchen electronics, televisions+, and game consoles
  • speakers and entertainment equipment

* Not responsible for destroying data on hard drives & other digital storage.

+ A disposal fee (based on size) applies for tube televisions & CRT monitors.

 
First United Methodist Church Mission Store will be accepting at their location: 229 W 4th Street
  • gently used clothing & shoes (kids? and adults? sizes)

DO NOT BRING

  • ammunition and explosives
  • building materials and smoke detectors
  • bulk trash and yard waste
  • butane and propane cylinders
  • commercial chemicals and waste
  • Freon appliances (refrigerators, freezers, window units)
  • hazardous and regulated materials (asbestos, PCB transformers and caulking, lead-based paint, mercury thermostats and switches, radioactive sources, and tires)
  • medicines and medical waste
