The Charles Calvin McCoy Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas donated Texas interest books to the 4th graders at Kennedale James F Delaney Elementary.
Representing the local chapter was Kitty Owens and made the presentation to Delaney student, Preston Galindo, who received the books on behalf of all the students. {{more}}
Founded in 1891, The Daughters of The Republic of Texas (DRT) is the oldest patriotic women?s organization in Texas and one of the oldest in the nation. The DRT is a genealogical organization with one hundred and six chapters divided into ten districts across Texas.
