While he was young, his family moved to McCamey, TX, where Doug spent his childhood years. He graduated from Hardin Simmons University in May, 1987 and married his love, Sharon Rosenbrock on June 13, 1987. They moved to Ft Worth, TX in August and spent their married life in the D/FW metroplex raising their children. Doug absolutely adored his 5 children.

When his heart beat for the last time, there was a roar of thunder as the heavens celebrated him coming home. He was surrounded by his wife and children who loved him immensely. Doug spent his life serving others. He was usually the last to leave from a gathering, because he wanted to make sure that no one else got left handling the last details of cleaning up. He had a true servant heart. Doug?s last job was at the Oaks Baptist Church where he served as their Financial Administrator. He enjoyed serving the church in this capacity and made many friends while he was there.
