On the city side there are three position open that include the Mayor and Council Places 2 and 4. These positions are for two year terms and are up for election in May of even-numbered years.

The positions are currently held by Mayor Brian Johnson, Council Member Kelly Turner in Place 4 and Council Member Liz Carrington in Place 2.

Interested candidates for the Kennedale School District may pick up an application at the Kennedale ISD Administration Building, 120 W Parkway, Kennedale, Texas76060.

Applications may be returned during regular business hours.? KISD is open Monday through Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Address to mail completed applications is Kennedale ISD Administration Office, PO Box 467, Kennedale, Texas 76060.

Three positions open this year on KISD Board: Place 1 currently held by Leslie Carruthers; Place 2 currently held by Julie Webb; and, Place 3 currently held by Joe Taylor. Note: Place 2 was held by Rhonda Barnes who retired earlier this year and was replaced by Julie Webb.? ?

KISD Board terms are for three years.?

The deadline to file is Friday, February 16, 2018, at 5:00 p.m. However, the city does urge you to file as soon as possible. The paper work is not as simple as signing your name and does require time to fill out completely.
