? ? ?Both the city and school district will be holding elections for council and board positions May 11, ?Filing begins Wednesday, January 30.?The KISD Board will have two positions available. The positions are held by Dr. Mike Walker and Janet Adams will be on the ballot along with the unfilled term of John Hunt who resigned in December. Board terms are for three years. John Hunt’s position is a “special election” to fill out his last year on his term. ?The first day {{more}}to file for this position is set for February 27th ?but the election date is the same as the other elections for city and council positions, May 11. In 2014 the position will be open for election to a full three year term.?? ? ?For the City Council there three positions scheduled for election. These positions are currently held by Charles Overstreet (Pl 1), Brian Johnson (Pl 3) and Frank Fernandez (Pl 5). These positions are 2 year terms from May, 2013 to May, 2015. ?Interested parties have from January 30, 2013 to March 1, 2013 to file. Applications to file for council positions can be picked up at the City Secretary Office at Kennedale City Hall 405 Municipal Drive, Kennedale, Texas 76060 (Ph: (817) 985-2100).
