Last semester at Kennedale High School, five students were selected to the ATSSB Region 5/30 All Region Jazz Band in the State of Texas. {{more: continue … }}

One of those selected was Dylan Mowrer, KHS Sophomore, who not only qualified for the All Area and All State Jazz Bands but he became the first Wildcat to qualify for the All State Jazz Band.

The KISD band program offers a variety of opportunities for students including a beginner band at James Arthur Intermediate; a Symphonic Band, Honors Band and Concert Band at Kennedale Junior High School; and, at Kennedale High School the programs include the Marching Wildcat Band (5th in state this year), the Kennedale Color Guard, the Winter Guard, the Kennedale Jazz Band, the Wind Ensemble, the Symphonic Band, the Concert Band, the Wildcat Drumline and Percussion Pit, the Indoor Drumline and the Musical Pit Orchestra. All this is built around a program that promotes and develops student leadership opportunities.
