Kennedale and Carter met five games ago with the Wildcats coming away with a 70-27. The Wildcats went on to a 10-0, 5-0 record and a district championship in 5-4A. The Cowboys finished the regular season with a 3-7, 2-3 record and fourth place in district 6-4A. UIL allows the top four teams from each district to advance in the playoffs. In the first round, #1 seeds from one district face off against the 4th seed from another district.
Carter?s district matches Kennedale?s in strength. District 6-4A is a five team district that includes (in order of finish) Argyle (9-1, 5-0), Sanger (9-1, 4-1), Wilmer Hutchins (5-6, 3-2), Carter, Ranchview (2-8, 1-4) and Dallas Pinkston (0-10, 0-5).District 5-4A includes (in order of finish) Kennedale (10-0, 5-0), Alvarado (8-2, 4-1), Springtown (5-5, 3-2), Lake Worth ( 4-6, 2-3), Castleberry (1-9, 1-4) and Diamond Hill Jarvis (0-10, 0-5).
Carter Cowboys Stats: 1011 passing + 1,479 rushing = 2490 total offense. Kennedale Wildcats Stats: 132 passing + 4746 = 4878 total offense.
