Fort Worth Dunbar (2-0) vs. Kennedale (2-0) 7:30 p.m. Friday at Kennedale?s Wildcat Stadium

Travis: Dunbar has been the class of Fort Worth ISD schools for the past several years, but it is always hard to tell what that means in the bigger picture with the weaker district Dunbar always faces. This weekend?s matchup against a state-ranked Kennedale team will be a good measuring stick of how Dunbar might fare once playoffs arrive. Dunbar will win this because of a few better overall athletes, but Kennedale will give them a run for their money.

Ryan: This will be a solid measuring stick game for both teams. Kennedale is a contender in Class 4A, while Dunbar went undefeated in the regular season in District 6-4A last year. Dunbar should have a tougher schedule this year, with the addition of Lake Dallas and Grapevine. How they respond to a solid Kennedale team this week should indicate where they?ll stand going into district play in two weeks. I?ll take Kennedale?s depth over Dunbar?s athleticism, but don?t be surprised to see some points in this one.
