J.W. “Red” Teague, 96, passed away peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 29, 2016. Service: 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, at South Park Baptist Church, 7210 Crowley Road, Fort Worth. {{more:[Read more]}}
 
Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Laurel Land Funeral Home.
 
J.W. was born Feb. 20, 1920, in Decatur to Walter and Erla Teague.
 
J.W. graduated from Decatur High School, and received two degrees from TWC. He was a well known fast pitch softball pitcher in this area. He coached at Boys Ranch in Bedford, and Nolan High School for Boys. He was junior high school principal at Everman ISD, high school principal at Kennedale ISD, and superintendent of Kennedale ISD.
 
Survivors: His beloved wife, Mary Teague; and a host of loving friends.
