Kennedale Junior Wildcats have been competing in a number of different in areas in recent months including the KJHS Spelling Bee, UIL One Act Play, and the UTA Future Cities Competition. {{more: continue …}}

The winners of our KJHS Spelling Bee included the following students: 1st Place-Emily Neff, Runner Up- Jaden Akins. Those two students advanced to the next round of Spelling Bee competitions.

KJHS students placed 3rd at the UIL One Act Play competition. Emma Walstrom and Samuel Middleton received an award for All-Star Cast. Jacob Houghton won an award for Best Tech. The students worked very hard throughout the school year to prepare for this competition.

The Future Cities students went to the University of Texas at Arlington to compete in an area Future Cities with one of the KJHS groups earning the Award for Innovative Design of Infrastructure System. Future City starts

with a question?how can we make the world a better place? To answer it, 6th,

7th, and 8th grade students imagine, research, design, and build cities of the

future that showcase their solution to a citywide sustainability issue.
