Kennedale Lady Kats Basketball had two seniors awarded ALL-State honors for the 2013-14 season by the Texas Girls Coaches Association. One was selected as Athlete of the Year.
Senior McKinley Bostad was selected to the 3A All-State Team, the 1A-2A-3A All-Star Red Team and named the Girls 1A-2A-3A Athlete of the Year. {{more}}She was one of just two in the state chosen for the Athlete of the Year honors. Bostad averaged 22 points per game and was a 34% three point shooter for the Lady Kats. She has signed to play for the University of Arkansas Lady Razorbacks next year.

Senior Sadie Mahnesmith who had transferred to Kennedale High School this year also earned 3A All-State honors by TGCA. She started all season for the Lady Kats and averaged 13 points a game. She was one of just 25 All-State players selected from across the state in Class 3A.
The Kennedale Lady Kats finished 20-11 this year with a perfect 10-0 district record and 20-0 for the last two year. The Kats were also Bi-District, Area and Region 1 Quarterfinal champs. The Kennedale High School team is coached by Mindy Youngs.
