KHS Cheer Team earns a 12th place at NCA High School Nationals

Kennedale competed last weekend in the National Cheerleading Association?s National High School competition in Dallas with teams as far away as California and New Jersey and as close as home as Arlington High School. {{more:Read more …}}
 
Two weeks ago Kennedale finished 13th in the UIL State Championship finals also held in Dallas for Class 4A, a second top 20 finish in two years.
 
In the NCA Nationals the competition was of a different and more difficult caliber with Kennedale being matched-up with bigger 5A and 6A schools.
 
The winner of the Kennedale?s division was 6A Arlington High followed by 6A Clear Creek (League City, TX), 6A Clear Brook (Friendship, TX). Kennedale was 2nd in Class 4A schools behind 4A Canyon Lake who finished at #4. There were no other Texas 4A schools in the top 25. Private school Oakridge (Arlington, TX) finished just behind Kennedale at 13th.
 
The KHS National team members were Mady Hamblin (Jr), Reagan Hamblin (Fr), Jordyn Harrison (So), Emily Marr (Jr), Co-Captain Paloma Rivera (Sr), Kolbi Sipho (So), Haley Sloat (Jr), Tiara Taylor (Jr), Co-Captain Avery Tosh (Sr), Aliviyah Ward (So), Jordan Willingham (So), Joy Williams (Fr) and Alternate Rachel Prebe (So).
