Tuesday night, the Wildcat

Basketball team (0-2) played Mineral Wells (1-1) at home and, despite a 37 point game from Brandon Conwright (Sr), the Cats lost 90-86.

 
Kennedale let Mineral Wells take an 8-2 early before coming back to take a 23-20 lead in the first quarter on a 3 pointer by Conwright. It was the 2nd quarter that put Mineral Wells in the lead until late into the 4th. {{more}}Outscoring the Cats 23-16 in the 2nd, Mineral Wells took a 43-39 halftime lead.

The Wildcats kept it close in the 2nd half tying the game frequently. Keeping Kennedale in the game during the 4th was Darious Hammond (Sr) who finished the night with 24 points, and Conwright, who’s two fouls shots with 8 seconds in regulation, knotted the game at 78 and sent the game into overtime.
 
Mineral Wells won the game in the finals seconds with game tied once again when Perez made a 3 pointer and was fouled for a 4 point play.
 
For Mineral Wells, it was an early thanksgiving gift.
