Last week, both the Kennedale Wildcats’ and LadyKats’ Cross Country teams, placed 2nd in the District 7-4A meet. This qualified them for the UIL Regional Meet in Lubbock today.{{more}}
The Wildcats had 5 runners finish in the top 20 while the girls had 7 finished in the top 20. At the same meet the JV Boys captured first place in their division.![]()
LadyKats Varsity will run at noon and the Wildcat Varsity will run at 12:30Qualifying for the regional meet for the Wildcats with place and time in district meet were Cameron Christoforo (#6 – 17:59.41), Trey Burke (#9 ? 18:09.83), Michael Vargas (#10 ? 18:2140), Fernando Ortega (#16 ? 18:43.39), Marc Johnson (#17 ? 18:44.75) and Carson Ham (#21 ? 19:16.15) and Jordan Washington (JV) as alternate
Qualifying for the regional meet for the LadyKat in the 2 mile with place and time in the district meet were Jamie Najar (#3 ? 12:32.82), Erica Rico (#14 ? 13:36.25), Claire Hamilton (#15 – 13:54.27), Nia Brown (#16 ? 13:55.45), Bianca Braz (#18 ? 13:56.16) and alternates Lauren Duran and Daphne Hunt.
Qualifiers for regionals, but who were unable to go, were LadyKats Alexis Thornton (#4 ? 12:36.32) and Shaderrika Lee (#11 ? 13:24.26).
The LadyKats are coached by Katrina Pytel and the Wildcats are coached by Michael Strange.
