KHS Volleyball team serves off the court as well

Saturday morning, the KHS Lady Kats volunteered at Unity Park in Fort Worth. Early this year the Kats work in a campus beautifying project playing and cleaning up around the grounds.
 
Giving back to the school and community
 
KHS Volleyball Head Coach Jennifer Patterson feels that giving back to the community and the school is something young athletes should do. It is good for the player and good for the team.
 
Unity Park is sponsored by Feed By Grace. Unity Park is open from 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. for homeless individuals and volunteers. Read more Feed By

It is billed as an unstructured day of playing and relaxation. Food is provided and served by local churches and other groups. Games, sports, music and other activities are planned.
 

The Lady Kats played volleyball with the group and helped as needed. Afterwards, Coach Patterson posted, “These ladies never cease to amaze. What loving, caring,

souls they have!”
