Last weekend the Kennedale Wildcat and Lady Kat track team participated in the prestigious Texas Relays in Austin. This event is a huge nationally recognized track event that extends invitations to major universities and colleges as well as top high school athletes from California to New York.

Leon Powell in the 100m ran a 10.52 in the prelims and 10.60 finals, winning 1st place putting him #1 in Texas and #6 in the nation.
 
Hailey Patterson in the Long Jump reached 18’7″ for 3rd place and making her jump the third longest in Texas and fourth in the nation.
 
The Lady Kats? 4×100 relay team placed 3rd and the Wildcats? 4×200 relay placed 5th.
 

This week Kennedale will host its own track meet at Wildcat Stadium on Friday, April 4, 2014. The public is invited.
