KHS student produced film wins bronze at State UIL Film Festival

It was shock, albeit a very good shook, that Kennedale High School?s very first entry into the UIL Film contest produced a state winner. {{more}}
 
Maybe not for the team that worked on it, a team that included writer/director Gage Tijerina and actors Hailey Green, Benjamin Garcia and Derek Isensee.
 
They did set a very high bar for those to follow but for now the bronze medal finish is one to treasure especially for first year AV teacher Daniel Soliz.
 
A serious short video that looks at sexual assault through the increasingly disturbed mind of the female victim, made it through three levels of competition before arriving at the premier event at the State UIL Young Filmmakers Festival in Austin, Texas, February 18-19.
 
At the festival, it was judged to be the third best video in the state in the category of ?Narrative? in Division 1 (4A and smaller).
