On Friday, February 28th, students from Mrs. Cook?s AP Calculus class traveled to UTA to compete in the 14th annual Calculus Bowl.
 
The Calculus Bowl is a lively playoff game based on multiple choice pre-calculus and calculus questions displayed one-at-a-time via a computer projection system. {{more}}The top two winning teams, along with their schools, are awarded medals and trophies. All high school participants receive a free UT Arlington Calculus Bowl T-Shirt along with other items.
 
A relatively new addition to the competition was the Team Spirit Outfit Contest in which teams are encouraged to be creative, have fun, and win an award. KHS has participated in the Calculus Bowl numerous times and has won the Team Spirit Award every year they?ve participated since the award was created.

This year was no exception! While they didn?t make the final round of competition, the five young men who went had a great time and represented KHS well in competing with 27 other high schools from around the metroplex.
 
Calculus Bowl Team members were Andrew Conroy, Thomas Conroy, Drake Huggins, Grant Malone, and Hayden Wilson. Their award winning team costume had them dressing as characters from the TV Show Scooby Doo because they ?Scooby Dooby Doo Love Calculus!?
