KHS wins 2nd at NTCA Winter Guard Championships

The Kennedale High School Band announced last week that the Winter Guard had a great finish to their competition season, placing as one the top teams in the regional competition in their division. {{more: continue …}}

On Saturday, March 24, the Winter Guard competed in the North Texas Color Guard Association Regional Championships and earned a score of 79.010 placing them just behind Robinson High School who had 80.210.

For Kennedale, this was the highest finish at the championship in nine years. In 2012 the Guard finished in 3rd place (77.200) at the championships and had a 4th place (75.840) in 2014.

In earlier competition this year, leading up to the regional championship, the Wildcat Color Guard finished 1st (73.450) at Alvarado, 3rd (79.030) at Lewisville and 4th (75.570) at Sachse.
