In September, KISD and the School Board of Trustees introduced Julie Webb, the newest member of the School Board. She was appointed by the Board to fulfill the unexpired term of Rhonda Barnes who had announced her retirement earlier this year. {{more: continue …}}
 
Ms. Webb grew up in Kennedale, continuing her education at Abilene Christian University. Julie is married to her husband Jason, and they have two daughters. Her oldest daughter is a student at Delaney Elementary, while her youngest will begin school next Fall.
 
Julie has served in various roles in KISD, including PTO President, the District Educational Improvement Committee, Safety Audit Committee and has fostered a donation relationship between her church and Delaney Elementary.

Rhonda Barnes retires after

a combined 47 years of service to KISD

The district would also like to show their gratitude and appreciation to Rhonda Barnes who served on the Kennedale ISD school board from May of 2003 to June of 2017 in June 2017.

Prior to becoming a board member she was employed by the district for a total of 33 years. [Next to former administrator James Delaney she was the face of the James Arthur and then later Delaney Elementary school for years as the school’s office manager and the principal’s secretary. She was also a product of the Kennedale schools as a former student and graduate].
 
Rhonda?s dedication to Kennedale ISD was shown in various ways through her commitment of having the students and employees best interest at heart.
 
Her outstanding years of service displayed that her heart and soul was with Kennedale ISD, and for that we would like to thank Rhonda for her 14 years of service and dedication as a Kennedale ISD School Board Member. She will truly be missed by all!
