Reprinted from KISD February Newsletter Erin Hyden, Editor? ? ?Representatives?of the?Kennedale Independent?School?District school?board and administration?along with?representatives of?the City of Kennedale?traveled to?Austin Tuesday,?February 12 for a day of recognition and education. The?city received recognition from the legislative floor and February?12, 2013 was named ?Kennedale Day? at the state capitol. {{more}}Attendants met with Representative Bill Zedler, Senator?Wendy Davis and Representative Diane Patrick during their?visit to learn about the topics up for discussion in the upcoming?legislative session. Public education was a hot topic?and was discussed in depth during the meetings. School?board members and administrators were given the opportunity?to ask questions and converse with the elected officials.?The day was enlightening and beneficial for Kennedale?ISD.
