? ? ?On Friday, February 1st, the KHS Computer Science classes attended its 5th?annual trip to Microsoft. This is a unique and amazing opportunity for the students at Kennedale High. Microsoft and KHS has partnered for an experiment that has blossomed into an annual event. {{more}}

? ? Every year, Microsoft dedicates a day?s labor for 10 engineers and one huge facility to conduct classes for the students at KHS. They put on four classes. In one class, the professionals teach the students the history of Microsoft and take them as far as the future visions the company has.

? ? ?In another class, they demo all the latest products in the market today.Students get to see many things that won?t be in your nearest electronic store, like the world?s largest Windows 8 computer (81?) or the latest design of what used to be called ?Surface? and is
?now called the ?Pixel Sense? table. The name?Surface?was given to the more productive tablet answer to Apple?s iPad.

? ? ?A few engineers teach the students the parts of the computer and take them through a tour of the company local data center. Finally, the students get a demonstration of the functionality of the Kinect and how they incorporate it into the development of their own games and apps.?

? ? ?Microsoft is even so kind as to feed all 50 of the students that attend at no cost to?
our students. Now, they have extended this opportunity to a few other schools, but as they stated when we arrived, we are their favorites because we were the first!?
