Secondary campus administrators in the Kennedale School District have gone above and beyond this year as judged by their peers. These honors include TASSP Region XI Principals/Assistant Principal of the Year, election to the State Board of Directors of TASSP and the selection as the President of TASSP, the largest principals organization in the nation. {{more}}

TASSP President & Reg XI High School

Principal of the Year

  • Both Kennedale High School Principal Rita Pintavalle and Kennedale Junior High School Principal Sherri Kottwitz were selected as TASSP Region XI Principals of the Year.
  • Joining Pintavalle and Kottwitz was Kennedale Junior High Principal Michael Cagle as Region XI Assistant Principal of the Year.

TASSP Reg XI Jr High Principal of the Year

  • Kennedale High School Assistant Principal Jeff Kieger was elected to the TASSP State Board of Directors.
  • Finally KHS Principal Pintavalle has been elected State President of the TASSP for the school year 2014-15.

    Principal of the Year

TASSP is the largest principals organization in the county. There are approximately 8500 secondary school administrators in the state made up of 20 regions. Approximately 5400 of these are members of TASSP (Texas Association of Secondary School Principals. TASSP supports and organizes TASC (Texas Association of Student Councils) and TAFE (Texas Association of Future Educators).

TASSP Reg XI State Board of Directors

TASSP has an executive board plus the full board made up of coordinators and representatives from all 20 regions. There are 52 board members in all. Krieger will represents Region XI this year.

Considering how many large and small school districts that are involved, Kennedale representation is extraordinary for a district its size.
