KISD recognizes student & staff contributions at February Board Meeting

The following were honors from the February meeting of the school board.

DELANEY ELEMENTARY:
?
The following students received a proclamation for earning the title of ?Best City Model? in the Future Cities Competition for the 4th Grade Team. They were all part of the team that designed a city named Windy Hollow, Oklahoma.

The following students received a proclamation for earning the title of ?Best Essay? in the Future Cities Competition for the 4th Grade Team. They were all part of the team that designed a city named Lakala, Hawaii.

The following teacher at Delaney Elementary received a proclamation for sponsoring the 4th Grade Teams that competed in the North Texas Future Cities Competition that was held on January 26, 2019 at UTA.

KENNEDALE HIGH SCHOOL:

The following student received a proclamation for being selected as the first ever Kennedale student to gain membership in the Texas All State Jazz Band.

GARRETT HULL MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP ARCHERY TOURNMENT:
?
Mr. DannyWilcox, Outdoor Teacher at KHS, organized tournament. There were 22 different schools that brought 344 archers to Kennedale Junior High. These archers competed for two $1000 scholarships that were issued by the Kennedale Rotary Club in Corporal Hull?s name and honor.
?
Customized Genesis Bows were presented to the Hull and Aten children in a very special way. The five bows presented were prototypes and are the only five exactly like this in the world. The colors chosen for these bows are symbolic of law enforcement. The front of each bow proudly displays Garrett Hull?s name and his badge number. Mr. Wilcox thanked all who were involved in making this tournament a success.
