KJHS Captures 60 places and earns 2nd in UIL Academic Contest

Kennedale Junior High didn’t win first this year but came in a strong second at the UIL District Academic Meet held this past week. All in all, Kennedale

Junior High School ribboned or medaled 60 times, earning gold in 17 events, silver in 9 and bronze in 10 events. {{more}}

 
The KJHS fielded one the largest UIL Academic Teams at the competition. There were 58 students representing the junior Wildcats, 27 seventh graders and 31 eight graders. Many won or placed in multiple events.
 
There were six schools in the competition this year. Team results: Godley 695, Kennedale 577, Cleburne Smith 507,

Alvarado 156, Venus 108 and Cleburne Wheat 97 points.
