KPD Incident Reports for February 12 -18,

These reports were in addition to on-going investigations. These do not include calls where no report was written. Some of the offenses, after further investigation, may have been deemed unfounded.

2/13 ? Hit and Run Accident – 1000 block of Bowman Springs Road: At 12:39 a.m. a female driver reported that a Dodge pick-up was in front of her as she turned on to Bowman Springs Road. She reported that the truck stopped and began to back toward her vehicle at a high rate of speed. The truck struck her vehicle and drove away. The victim was treated for minor injuries at the scene and released.

2/14 – Investigation – 400 block of Municipal Drive: On this date a resource officer was asked to assist in a Texas Department of Family Services investigation about a family violence outcry made by a juvenile. The juvenile was interviewed and it was determined that there was no offense committed.

2/14 – Criminal Mischief Under $100 – 900 block of Corry A. Edwards Drive: A student reported to a school resource officer that her cell phone was damaged while she was at school.

2/14 – Investigation – 400 block of Municipal Drive: A school resource officer received a report from CPS regarding a possible inappropriate act witha female juvenile. Upon interviewing the juvenile, it was discovered that the offense actually occurred in Fort Worth. Fort Worth police were notified and picked up the investigation.

2/14 – Burglary – 1000 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 2:17 p.m. a business manager reported that a known suspect had burglarized the property during the overnight hours. The suspect was observed on video removing cash, a cell phone, and tools from the business.

2/15 – Recovered Missing Person (Juvenile) – 900 block of Wildcat Way: At 2:40 p.m. a foster parent notified a school resource officer that her 16 year old foster daughter had been reported to Arlington police as a runaway. The female was in class and, after confirming she was indeed reported as missing, the officer removed her to bring her to the office. The female juvenile was transported to the juvenile justice center for processing due to her wish not to go with her foster mother.

2/15 – Assault by Threat – Mistletoe Drive: At 7:45 p.m.officers responded to a disturbance. A male and female were contacted in regards to a confrontation that had occurred. This is part of an on-going neighbor feud. During the confrontation both parties had used foul language toward each other. They at first stated they wanted to press charges but then declined. Later one of the officers responded again to one of the involved parties and was told he wanted to press the matter. Both the male and female were issued citations for disorderly conduct -language, and the female received a second citation for Assault by Threat as she allegedly threatened to shoot the male.

2/17 – Forgery – 1000 block of Bell Oak Drive: At 3:00 p.m. a victim reported that her credit monitoring company had notified her of attempts to run her credit. Unknown person(s) attempted to make credit inquiries through finance companies. It was unknown at the time of the report if any transactions occurred from the attempts.

2/18 – Application Mental Detention and Observation – N. Dick Price Road: At 6:27 a.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. A female had assaulted a family member. On arrival officers observed the female attempting to damage a car in the driveway. Due to the violent behavior she exhibited the female was transported to JPS Hospital.

2/18 – Possession Drug Paraphernalia – Clearbrook Drive: At 7:43 a.m. an officer responded to a suspicious person complaint. Two males in a vehicle were parked in a neighborhood. Upon making contact with the males, the officer smelled marijuana inside the vehicle. Marijuana paraphernalia was located within the vehicle and the driver was cited after admitting it was his.

2/18 – Abandoned Vehicle – S. New Hope Road: At 10:50 p.m. an officer responded to a suspicious vehicle in a roadway. A 2013 GMS SUV was parked and locked in the traffic lane with no owner in view. Attempts to telephone the registered owner were unsuccessful. The vehicle was towed for safekeeping.
