The Kennedale Police Department reported the following incidents for the week period of July 16 through July 15, 2017. {{more: Read More …}}
 
These reports and others were in addition to on-going investigations. These do not include calls where no report was written. Some of the offenses, after further investigation, may have been deemed unfounded.

7/17 – Theft $100 of $750 – Stags Leap Trail: At 1:40 p.m. an officer received a theft report. The reporting person stated that two uninstalled windows were taken from a home under construction. The theft occurred sometime within an 11 day period. The windows were valued at $400.00.

7/18 – Public Intoxication – W. Kennedale Parkway: At 11:07 officers responded to assist Fort Worth officers with an intoxicated person. The Fort Worth officers had observed a male adult lying in the median of the roadway. The male stated that he had been struck by a car but did not appear injured in any way other than a scratch on the ankle. Paramedics responded to check the male for injuries and found none. He refused treatment. The male stated that he was staying at a nearby homeless encampment and became uncooperative, wanting to leave. He was extremely intoxicated and was arrested. The male was transported to jail for booking without incident.

7/19 – Vehicle Theft, Possession of Controlled Substance – E. IH 20: At 1:03 a.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. During the interview the driver was found to have arrest warrants from Keller. While searching the driver incident to arrest he was found to be in possession of Xanax, a controlled substance, without a prescription. During the handling of the arrest of the driver, the passenger moved to the driver seat and fled the scene in the vehicle which did not belong to him. A warrant will be issued charging the known passenger with vehicle theft.

7/20 – Assault Bodily Injury (Family Violence) – Dick Price Road: At 1:24 p.m. an officer responded to a report of a suspicious person. A female had walked up to a residence seeking assistance. The female stated that her boyfriend had assaulted her at a residence. Her right arm was swollen and appeared to be broken. Medics were called to transport her to the hospital.

7/21 – Driving While Intoxicated – E. Kennedale Parkway: At 1:48 a.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for speeding. The driver appeared to be intoxicated and was unable to successfully complete a field sobriety assessment. The driver admitted to taking LSD, cocaine, and Xanax. He was arrested and transported to jail for booking. A blood sample was obtained for analysis to determine his intoxication level.

7/21 – Criminal Mischief $100 to $750 – Spring Branch Drive: At 5:31 a.m. a victim reported to police that her Dodge Journey had been spray painted by unknown person(s). The victim?s 16 year old son provided a possible suspect name. The damage may be retribution towards the victim?s son by a known suspect.

7/21 – Criminal Mischief $2,500 to $30,000 – Spring Branch Drive: At 7:52 a.m. a victim reported that her Chevrolet Malibu was spray painted during the overnight hours. This offense appears to be related to another offense in the same block.
