The Kennedale Police Department reported the following 14 incidents for the week period of June 11 through June 17. {{more: CONTINUE … }}

These reports and others were in addition to on-going investigations. These do not include calls where no report was written. Some of the offenses, after further investigation, may have been deemed unfounded.

 
Incident Reports …

6/14 – Forgery – Derby Drive: At 11:20 a.m. a victim reported that person(s) unknown had forged two checks on his credit accounts. The victim had been contacted earlier by a Tarrant County Precinct 7 deputy constable. The constable stated that during a search warrant service the two checks had been found in the suspect?s location. Both checks bore the victim?s alleged signature.The victim checked his account and found other checks cashed that were not his. The found checks were being held for a report to be filed.

6/14 – Credit/ Debit Card Abuse – Spring Branch Lane: At 6:39 p.m. a victim contacted police to report that a known person had taken her wallet while visiting the victim?s home. The suspect used the victim?s credit card to make several purchases. Before calling police the victim had tried to contact the suspect by phone but was unsuccessful.

6/15 – Sex Offender Duty to Register– At 8:15 a.m. a detective received a call from a parole officer inquiring about the residency status of a sex offender under the officer?s supervision. The parole officer reported that the sex offender had been living in Kennedale for several days but had not notified Fort Worth,where he had been living, or Kennedale police to change his residency. The offender is required to register for life due to possession of child pornography. The parole officer stated that the offender was supposed to be moving to Haltom City but had not done so. Further investigation revealed that the offender was not registered in Kennedale and was not moving to Haltom City in the immediate future. On 06/16/2017 an arrest warrant was issued for the offender. He was arrested by officers from Kennedale P.D. and transported to jail for booking.

6/16 – Burglary – Bowman Springs Road: At 2:15 p.m. a victim reported that his home had been burglarized. The time of the offense was unknown.

6/16 – Criminal Mischief $100 to $750 – W. Kennedale Parkway: At 6:00 p.m. a victim reported that person(s) unknown had broken a window on her home while she was out. The damage was estimated at $125.00.

6/17 – Driving While Intoxicated – 500 block of Dick Price Road: At 2:09 a.m. an officer observed a vehicle stopped in the oncoming lane of traffic. An adult male driver was passed out across the front seats. The driver was awakened and exited the vehicle. He appeared to have been drinking heavily and was unable to successfully complete a field sobriety test. He was arrested for DWI and transported to jail for booking.

6/17 – Vehicle Burglary – Peachtree Court: At 1:15 p.m. a victim reported that person(s) unknown entered her unlocked vehicle and removed a bottle of prescription medicine. The offense occurred during the overnight hours.
