The Kennedale Police Department reported the following new incidents for the one period of November 12 through November 18, 2017 including stolen id’s, hit and run and kidnapping. {{more: continue …}}

These reports and others were in addition to on-going investigations. These do not include calls where no report was written. Some of the offenses, after further investigation, may have been deemed unfounded.
 
Incident Reports …
 
11/14 ? Hit and Run Accident – W. Kennedale Parkway: At 2:49 p.m. a vehicle owner stated that his vehicle was struck while parked in a legal parking space on a business lot. The driver of the suspect vehicle made contact with the victim and stated that he did not have insurance. The suspect fled when the victim called police. A witness provided a license plate and suspect/vehicle description to officers on scene.
 
11/15 ? Fraudulent Use/Possession of Identifying Info – W. 5th Street: At 8:30 a.m. an officer observed a vehicle speeding on Kennedale Parkway. Upon attempting a traffic stop on the vehicle, the driver attempted to evade the officer by running several stop lights and stop signs. The vehicle was finally stopped by the officer at 5th Street and N. Main Street. The driver, a male, and a male passenger were discovered to be in possession of numerous identification items for other people. The driver and passenger were arrested for the items and transported to jail for booking. A female passenger was cited for possessing drug paraphernalia but was not arrested as she did not have any of the identification items on her person.
 
11/16 ? Theft $2,500 to $30,000 – Autumnwood Court: At 6:58 a.m. a victim reported that the tires and rims were stolen from his 2016 GMC truck during the overnight hours. The items were valued at $3,000.00.

11/17 ? Theft $100 to $750 – Corry A. Edwards Drive: At 9:00 a.m. a victim reported that his boys? bicycle was stolen from a bike rack at the junior high school. The bike was not secured and had been left overnight. Security video captured the theft in progress and a copy of the video has been placed in evidence.

11/17 – Assault Bodily Injury (Family Violence) – At 2:00 p.m. a victim reported that she was assaulted by her two brothers and a male neighbor. The assault occurred two days earlier and was provoked by the victim?s use of her brother?s property. The victim displayed injuries consistent with her account of the assault.

11/17 ? Possession of Controlled Substance – 5300 block of Mansfield Highway: At 6:33 p.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for a warrant investigation. A male passenger was found to have multiple outstanding arrest warrants from Fort Worth and Forest Hill. He was arrested and transported to jail for booking. While being booked in the male was found to be in possession of cocaine as well.

11/18 – Missing Person (Juvenile) – At 9:04 a.m. a father reported his 17 year old son as missing. The son was last seen two days earlier at home and had left without permission. A report was taken and the missing person was entered into the national database.

 
11/18 ? Hit and Run Accident – W. Kennedale Parkway: At 2:07 p.m. a victim reported that his truck was struck while parked in a parking lot. The suspect fled the scene without contacting the victim.

11/18 ? Kidnapping – Tealcove Drive: At 2:56 p.m. officers responded to a request for assistance by Arlington police on a possible kidnapping. A 9 year old male had been removed from his residence by a possible family member without the mother?s consent. Further investigation revealed that the male has been living with the family member for several months and attending school in Arlington. The child was located and returned home. The case remains open and under investigation.
