KPD Weekly Incident Reports for May 28 – June 3

The Kennedale Police Department reported the following ten incidents for the week period of May 28 through June 3. {{more:READ MORE …}}

These reports and others were in addition to on-going investigations. These do not include calls where no report was written. Some of the offenses, after further investigation, may have been deemed unfounded.

 
Incident Reports …
 
5/28 – Assault (Bodily Injury) (Family Violence) – At 11:40 a.m. a victim phoned the police department to report that she had been assaulted by her boyfriend on 05-09-2017.

5/28 – Driving While Intoxicated, Vehicle Theft – S. Eden Road: At 9:42 p.m. officers responded to a report of a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was a Dodge Grand Caravan that the reporting person was working on. The reporting person stated that he left a known female at the shop while he ran an errand. The van and the female were gone on his return. The female eventually was found walking in the area and was detained for investigation. The female was intoxicated and stated that she had drove the van off. It was located on Mansfield Cardinal Road in Arlington. The van was several hundred feet off of the roadway and was wrecked. The female was arrested for the vehicle theft and for DWI. She was transported to jail for testing and booking.

5/19 – Fraud Use/Possession Identifying Info – 1200 block of N. Little School Road: At 12:53 p.m. officers responded with medics to an unresponsive male in a vehicle. The driver was disoriented and was checked by medics. After being cleared as medically okay, the male was found to have a theft warrant out of Tarrant County. During the interview with officers he was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine as well as several credit cards and state I.D.s that were not his. The male was transported to jail for booking and the contraband was entered into evidence.

5/29 – Burglary – Sunrise Drive: At 2:29 p.m. officers responded to a burglary report. Person(s) unknown entered a residence by forcing the front door open while the homeowners were out between noon and 2:20 p.m. Two purses and cash were taken.

5/29 – Burglary – Indian Springs: At 4:27 p.m. an officers responded to a burglary complaint. Residents stated that they had left at 11:00 a.m. and returned at 4:15 p.m. to find the front door forced open. Person(s) unknown removed a handgun from the residence along with a magazine and ammunition. Nothing else appeared to have been tampered with.

5/30 – Assault (Family Violence) – At 6:09 a.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. A female, who appeared to have been drinking heavily, complained of being assaulted by her boyfriend who was present. She was unable to maintain a consistent story of what occurred and did not exhibit any injuries consistent with her accounts.

5/31 – Driving While Intoxicated – Municipal Drive: At 2:41 p.m. officers made contact with a female who was sitting in a vehicle at the police department parking lot. The female was intoxicated and had trouble speaking with officers about what was going on. She stated that she was being abused by her boyfriend but a check of her residence was negative for the boyfriend or signs of abuse. Several empty alcoholic beverage cans were found in her vehicle. The female was unable to successfully complete a field sobriety assessment and was placed under arrest for DWI. A blood draw warrant was obtained and the sample drawn by the medical staff at the jail. A check of the female revealed two previous convictions for DWI.

6/1 – Possession Control Substance – Wildcat Way: At 3:56 p.m. an officers stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. During an interview with the male passenger and female driver, officers found prescription pills not prescribed to either person as well as cocaine. Officers also found other narcotics paraphernalia. The female was arrested for the narcotics and transported to jail for booking. The male, who could not be linked to the narcotics, was released at the scene.

6/2 – Missing Person (Juvenile) – E. IH 20: At 3:34 a.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for speeding. The driver, a 17 year old female, had been reported as a runaway out of North Richland Hills. The runaway?s stepfather responded to take possession of her and the vehicle.

6/3 – Application for Mental Detention and Observation – Kennedale Sublett Road: Officer responded to a reported of an emotionally disturbed person. A 24 year old male was reported to be hallucinating about someone trying to harm him. The male was transported to JPS Hospital for an emergency mental detention and evaluation.
