The 4A Lady Kats (11-3) entered the Silver bracket at the Lady Ram Volleyball Festival at Berkner HS in Richardson ISD on Saturday and brought home the trophy.? {{more: continue ?}}

In pool play on Friday, the Kats went 3-1 which put them in a three-way tie for possible place in the Gold bracket at the tournament. After losing the chance to play for the over-all champion with a tie breaker, the Kats came back to claimed their first trophy of the season by winning in the Division I Silver title.

To win the bracket, Kennedale defeated 5A Wichita Falls Rider HS: 25-19, 24-26, 25-22 at 8AM on Saturday. That was followed immediately at 9 AM with a two straight set victory over 5A The Colony: 25-11, 25-23.
