Kennedale Sophomore LB shines at Arkansas camp

“I feel like it opens up some more doors for me,” Browning said. “I came here trying to get one, but I didn?t really expect to get one. It’s great.?
 
Browning, 6-2, 206 pounds of Kennedale, Texas, ran an impressive 4.62 seconds in the 40 yard dash, 4.32 in the pro shuttle and had a 9-85 broad jump. Video highlights CLICK HERE
 
Arkansas Coach Bret Bielema and linebackers coach Randy Shannon liked what they saw.
 
“He was just saying that for my class and my age, my ability, explosiveness, and body frame was good for my age and very rare to see this early,” Browning said of Bielema.
 
Browning was named the 2013 All-District 6-3A Team Defensive Newcomer of the Year last year.
 
Working with Shannon was one of the highlights of the day.
 
“I feel like my footwork was where it needs to be,” said Browning, who plans to attend an Arkansas game in the fall. “I was on par with everything.
 
Baylor and Oklahoma State have also offered Browning.
 
“It sits very high,? he said.
